Teacher Automation Engineer at Yrgo – make a difference with us!

Responsibilities

We are looking for teachers for our higher vocational education programs for future automation engineers, specializing in mechatronics and process technology. The programs consist of both theoretical and practical components. As a teacher at Yrgo, you will work closely with the industry, for example regarding LIA (internship). A natural part of the job is also to develop courses and training together with colleagues and industry.

As a teacher with us, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and developing your courses in close collaboration with the principal, program leaders, and colleagues. The role involves contacts with the industry, both by managing existing collaborations and building new ones, primarily related to the work in the program's management groups and to LIA. You will work with:

• planning courses, developing course materials, and teaching in the field of automation
• participating in the work around LIA in collaboration with program leaders and industry
• supervising students during thesis projects
• conducting examinations, grading, and course evaluations
• developing courses and training together with your colleagues and industry
• monitoring your field and maintaining good contacts with the industry.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a relevant technical background. You should be a university or civil engineer, or have a vocational education in electrical and automation, along with several years of work experience.

You should have good knowledge in some of the following areas:

• industrial electrical engineering
• electrical and instrumentation design
• control and regulation technology
• PLC, DCS, and robot programming
• instrumentation and control technology
• process technology.

The position requires you to work independently, take responsibility for your teaching, and structure your work well. You have good collaboration skills, are communicative and flexible, and possess good pedagogical abilities along with a genuine interest in adult learning.
